Prenuptial Agreements

A prenuptial agreement, antenuptial agreement, or premarital agreement, commonly referred to as a pre-nup, is a contract entered into prior to marriage by the people intending to marry. The content of a prenuptial agreement can vary widely, but commonly includes provisions for division of property and spousal support in the event of death or in the event of the dissolution of the marriage. Conditions of guardianship may be included as well.

Clients who marry late in life and have separate assets and homes may want to preserve the same for children from a prior marriage.
